Mother - Chris, Licensee. Lived in the area for thirty years. Sixteen years as a school registrar / business manager with Education Queensland.
Daughter - Kirstie - Director / Preschool / Pre-Prep teacher - Bachelor Degree - 4 year qualified - Mother of 12 year old son. Teacher / Director at The Village since 2007. Teacher / Director at The Village II since opening in 2009. Taught Year 1 at Mansfield State School in 2006 - has taught Pre-school, Prep and Years 1 to 3 at surrounding state schools. Kirstie has 15 years experience working with children and has lived and worked in the area all her life.
Daughter - Jacqui—Administration and Assistant—Certificate III in Children’s Services—Mother of 5 year old son and years of experience as Shop Manager in various retail stores.
We are not a purely profit driven business with carefully prepared superficial sales pitches - we actually have a passion for quality child care and the education of young children.
Because we’re always on site we can make decisions to suit the needs of our children, families and staff because we know each child and family well and communicate face to face with them daily.
The Village is a Family Owned and Operated, small and friendly centre. It is owned and operated by a mother and daughtersteam, Christine Mayer, Kirstie Denny & Jacqui Hollis. It is not a nation wide, profit driven business - we actually have a passion for quality child care and the education of young children.
Because we’re on site we make decisions to suit the needs of our children, families and staff because we know each child and family well and communicate face to face with them daily.
There is a family / community feel about The Village and parent input and involvement is encouraged.
All the staff know all the children and parents (which makes for an easier transition between groups for our children) and there are significant opportunities for siblings to play together at times throughout the day.
We also provide meals for our children and we cater for special dietary needs also.
The Village has a generously sized outdoor playground with natural grass and shade trees.
